What Is The Family Support Programme?

Weekly, therapist-led support for families — delivered online.

The Rehubs Family Support programme is a therapist-facilitated online group for family members and loved ones of clients enrolled in our treatment programmes.

It provides:

  • Emotional support and validation
  • Psychoeducation around addiction and recovery
  • Practical tools to help you cope, communicate, and set boundaries
  • Connection with others who truly understand what you’re going through

This is not family therapy and does not involve your loved one attending with you. Instead, it is a protected space for families to focus on their own experience.

Clear, structured, and supportive from the start.

  • When your loved one begins treatment with Rehubs, one family member is offered access to the Family Support group.
  • You will receive an email invitation with instructions to download the Rehubs app and log in.
  • The Family Support group runs once per week for one hour.
  • The programme guarantees four weekly sessions over four weeks.

Where capacity allows, access may be extended beyond the initial four sessions.

Practical tools, emotional support, and real connection.

Each session is led by an experienced therapist and focuses on the realities families face. You’ll explore topics such as:

  • Understanding addiction and recovery cycles
  • Supporting without enabling
  • Boundaries, guilt, anger, fear, and exhaustion
  • Communicating more effectively during high-stress moments
  • Looking after your own mental health and wellbeing

You’ll also benefit from shared experience — hearing from others who are navigating similar challenges, which can be deeply normalising and relieving.

You don’t have to do this alone.

As part of the programme, you’ll be added to a dedicated group chat within the app, allowing you to:

  • Stay connected with peers between sessions
  • Share experiences and encouragement
  • Feel less isolated and more understood

This peer connection often becomes one of the most valuable parts of the programme.

Feedback, reflection, and possible aftercare access.

At the end of your four guaranteed sessions:

  • You’ll be invited to complete a short exit survey
  • Your feedback helps us improve and refine our services

Once the exit survey is completed, continued access to Family Support may be unlocked, subject to availability, for up to 12 months.
(This timeframe may vary depending on capacity and programme structure.)
