Affordable Rehab in the UK: Online Treatment You Can Actually Pay For

If you need help with addiction but the cost of residential rehab feels out of reach, this page is for you. Rehubs is a UK online addiction service that delivers real treatment, live group therapy, one-to-one sessions, aftercare and a helpline, all from home. We set out exactly what it costs, with no hidden extras.

It is for anyone looking for affordable, lower-cost rehab in the UK, for people without private insurance, and for those who want to keep working or caring for family while they get help. Everyone starts with a free online assessment so we can check that online care is the right level of support for you.

How much does rehab cost in the UK?

Rehab costs in the UK vary widely, and the figures can be daunting. Residential rehab, where you stay at a clinic, is the most expensive option, because you are paying for accommodation, meals and round-the-clock staff on top of the therapy.

Private therapy by the hour adds up quickly too, especially if you need several months of regular sessions. Here are the typical published figures for comparison:

  • Residential rehab: around £8,000 to £30,000 for a stay
  • Residential rehab: roughly £1,000 to £1,500 per week
  • Private therapy: typically £80 to over £200 per hour

Online rehab removes the cost of a building and a bed, which is why it can be far more affordable while still giving you accredited therapists, structure and support. You can read our full cost of rehab guide for more detail.

What online rehab with Rehubs costs

Our pricing is simple and published upfront. You can choose the full intensive programme or a block of one-to-one sessions, depending on what the assessment suggests you need.

  • 28-Day Intensive Online Programme, £2,795: 28 daily group therapy sessions (7pm to 8.30pm, 42 hours in total), 4 weekly individual therapist sessions, a relapse prevention workshop, weekly family support for 4 weeks, weekly aftercare for 12 months and a helpline 7 days a week.
  • 1-to-1 online therapy, 12 sessions for £740 (was £780): focused individual support at your own pace.
  • 1-to-1 online therapy, 24 sessions for £1,480 (was £1,560): a longer course of individual therapy.

Taken over the month, the 28-day programme works out at about £99 a day for daily group therapy, weekly one-to-one sessions and a year of aftercare, which is a fraction of the weekly cost of a residential stay.

Spread the cost: 0% finance over 12 months

You do not have to pay everything at once. With 0% finance over 12 months, you can spread the cost into manageable monthly payments at no extra charge.

  • 28-Day Intensive Online Programme: approximately £232.92 a month
  • 1-to-1 online therapy, 12 sessions: approximately £61.67 a month
  • 1-to-1 online therapy, 24 sessions: approximately £123.33 a month

Finance is subject to application, eligibility and approval, and is available to UK residents aged 18 and over. You can also set up a payment plan to suit your budget.

Private rehab without insurance

You do not need private medical insurance to get help with Rehubs. Many of our clients self-fund, and our published prices plus 0% finance are designed to make that realistic without needing a policy or a lump sum.

If you do have cover, or if your employer offers support, that can help too. We work with GPs, clinicians, insurers and employers who want to refer someone into online treatment. You can find details on our GPs and clinicians page.

Either way, the first step is the same: a free online assessment, so we understand your situation and can recommend the right option for you.

Free and NHS options, honestly

We think it is important to be honest: there is free help available in the UK. Your GP can refer you to local NHS drug and alcohol services, and NHS Talking Therapies can help with anxiety and depression. Charities also offer free support groups and advice. If that is what you can access, please use it.

The main drawback is that free services often have waiting lists, and the level of structure can vary. Paid online rehab is one way to start sooner and get more intensive support, but it is not the only route, and it is never the wrong choice to begin with free help.

Is online rehab right for you?

Online rehab suits a lot of people, but not everyone, which is why we assess first. It tends to work well if you:

  • are motivated to change and able to engage from home
  • need to keep working, studying or caring for family
  • want privacy and would find it hard to attend in person
  • live somewhere with limited local services
  • are looking for affordable, structured support without a residential stay

Everyone completes a free online assessment before starting, so we can check that online care is the right level of care for you. If you need medical detox or residential treatment, we will say so and help you find it. Rehubs does not replace those when they are clinically needed.
